We tread the streets and alleys of Taipei last week in the name of friendship. As we move so often, it is of high value to me that my people somehow maintain their friendships. Our year and a half in Taipei was chocked full of dear friends....especially for Lili. The two friends I made within the first months of our stay both had little girls Lili's age. June is our Tilly's birthday so Lili, Noa and I made it for the party. It was tiring traveling with two weary hot little girls but worth every last yen we spent to get there.

We had laid back Cheerio mornings, haunted our old playgrounds, browsed for a couple of hours through our favorite bookshop (LaiLai), meandered through the jade market, ate mangos to our hearts content, sipped on my favorite jin ju nai chai (bubble tea), worshipped at The Pearl (aaahhhh!)but mostly just soaked in our Tilly, Sarah baby Evie and their mommas.....

I even slipped in a cuppa Yogurt Art with my friend Madonna! So many of our friends had already left for their summer holidays in the US or Canada and we missed them terribly....next time we will descend in all our glory (Nykolas and Mia included....I missed my big people even though they had a blast with daddy and Yaya and missed me not one bit!) and organize our schedules so we can see everyone!

Our dear Teju came over the other day to make us a yummy chickpea curry dish.....my children, having never experienced the sound of a pressure cooker held tightly to her legs....so sweet.

Our dear friend Teju just returned from her sister's wedding in India and brought back these gorgeous clothes for the kids. I have had a hard time getting Lili's saree off....she wants to wear it all the time!

This is her newest escapade....climbing from floor to windowsill and wishing every passer by "Hi"! No, not exactly safe but what am I supposed to do remove all the furniture in the house?

New Ride!!!

Some may doubt this from the look on her face but Noa gets put out with us if we remove her from her sweet ride with her onechan (big sister)....

Gamba Game!!!

Our wonderful neighbor is a coach for the professional football (aka soccer) team here in Osaka. They scored free tickets and shared with out little neighborhood....enchiladas at our place then off to the game.....

If we have a sunny morning (which we haven't had any lately with typhoons and such) you will find us sitting happily in our sand box.....
