A few of my favorite things.....

.....four month old smiles and coos, gaps in five year old mouths yet to be filled with big teeth, the sound of laughter emitting from little people playing with the water hose in the rain, listening to the imaginary lives of my children, a bowl full of in season cherries, knowledge of dear far away friends in my thoughts, first morning snuggles, reading out loud, iced coffee, plastic animals strewn near and far , people gadding about in dress up clothes, princess tea parties, UNO games, the funny smatter of five languages, my baby tucked in a brightly coloured sling, a three year old with her hand on her hip telling all like it is, the hugs of a six year old boy, girls in pretty yellow dresses catching bugs, freckled noses, skinny sun kissed bodies, the mispronounciation of 'lellow', pancake Saturdays, a daddy telling stories to wide eyed beauties, splashing in creeks, angelic faces all tucked in bed, family dear to my heart yet far away .......wish I could freeze time.......

The Lake....

Our daddy's favorite place in the world is his family's lake house. He really wanted me to immerse little Noa in the lake for her first initiation....but I couldn't bear the thought of my little person in that dirty water so I tickled her toes. It is peaceful...
After the wedding my grandmother, Noa and I traveled to Texas. Noa Frances was introduced to her namesake and was the perfect age for sweet smiles and gentle coos at her Gran. We had loads of friends drop in the meet our newest addition and enjoyed the patio at Frances, the terrace at the lake house and the porch at Libby's ranch....lots of cousins, rocking and visiting. Noa loved it!

Texas Family!

The Wedding!

Grandan captured her heart and her smile immediately...

The wedding preparations were well underway when Noa and I arrived back in the States. We were comissioned to drive with my niece, Emilie, to Macon to help my grandmother pick flowers from her garden for the arrangements....

home never looked so good!

Finally back home after two+ weeks away. Got my brother married off and Noa introduced to all the family from Atlanta, Georgia to Graham, Texas! I am soaking in my three that were left behind....they had a blast with Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Peter, Daddy and Yaya but I have been desperate to touch them and hear all their stories. Noa is smiling like the sun at her sibs.
Ricki Eatherly traveled with me on this trip back. She is a gem. Fourteen years old but well traveled and very mature. Loving having her around....

We love you!
