Aquarium....

Our trip to the Osaka Aquarium was ever so fun. Misako from church was kind enough to go with us and chase little ones....bless her! The kids loved it but Lili was most fascinated with the 'humans' aka divers cleaning the tanks and feeding the fish.

Anna and Tilly's visit.....

My sweet friend Anna from Taipei and her little person, Tilly came for a visit this week. It was wonderful....I've been so lonely for friends since our move to Osaka.....like cool lemonade on a hot summer day...(I'm thinking a lot of summer these days as it's been cold cold here). Nykolas has a particular sweet spot for Ms Anna......we filled our days with pizza and a movie night (Mary Poppins, always a hit around here - all those songs swirled in my head for a week), wrestling and playing horsey, tickling the baby who has yet to appear, Saturday pancake breakfast, crafts, one sunny day sitting on the front step, girly baths, reading, snuggling, walks even in the cold temps, dressing up, the aquarium, Lili's birthday party and just being together. I think we were a bit much for poor Tilly as she is an only child...she loved every minute but we are a bit much to those whose souls are used to quiet play alone!

One evening after dinner the kids were having ice lollies and Tilly looked at Lili and said "Yummy, hey?" Lili frowned, looked at me and said "Mommy is 'yummy hey' a bad word?" Ha...must of been the Aussie 'hey' that threw her off....but as the sibling of two older and MUCH wiser children she 'knows' about bad words and how tricky they can be.....
