Hello Taiwan....

We made it! We've been here about a week and are almost all unpacked. We've already, been to the pediatrician, discovered the playground and met an new American friend named Catrina (3 years old) who lives very near, tried out several new interesting restaurants in our very cool neighborhood, meet "ka ka" a golden retriever who 'lives' at a curry resturant just down from our house, been to church, and watched the fireworks of Taipei 101 (the tallest building in the world, well until later this year anyway) from the top of our building! Taipei is wonderful....loads to discover and easy to get around on the subway.....oh and Costco....I've never seen one so big even in the States.....AND IKEA....our house is now furnished with cool modern sofas, bunkbeds, lamps, dishes, etc....it has been fun to pick out the things I like.....
It's been rather cold but a warm front is moving back in so hopefully we will thaw out soon.

Goodbye Korea.....

Packing up Korea.....

Well, we finally did it...it took several weeks and 99 boxes! (not all our personal stuff, by the way, the office was packed in as well). It was a wonderful adventure having the ladder truck come straight to our window and carry down all our boxes!

“Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.”
- Dinah Craik
