"History is the story of redemption. This story is much bigger than I am. I am not the main character in the drama of redemption. I am not the point. But by God's grace I am a part of it. It is far more significant to have a small part in this story than to star in my own puny production. This is a cosmic story that will run throughout eternity. Will I play my part with grace and joy, or will I go for the short-run, insignificant story that really has no point?" -Susan Hunt

Lost in translation....

Lately the kids have taken to pretending to be visitors at meal times. They go outside the living room door and knock at which point we are to let them in and welcome them to our meal and find out their story. Usually it includes some tragedy, like their house burning down and they've lost everything, including their parents (burned to a crisp I suppose) and now they need somewhere to live. (where do they get such drama?!)
Tonight, Nykolas and Mia came in together arm in arm. Yaya asked "Are you married", "yes" said they....then proceeded to speak to one another in "Spanish" (which sounded suspiciously like Chinese)...after a short exchange Mia says to Nykolas "Husband translate into English what we just said"....which he proceeded to do.... Ahh the life they lead.....

dressing up....
One of the places we stopped on our mountain retreat was an old building that had been turned into a tea shop. Lili spied the dress up dresses immediately and was begging to try one on.....the result below.....
My children instantly turned into hams!
