County Fair.....

The County Fair is something that I looked forward to growing up....animals, rides, food! I was glad we could be here so my kids could experience a taste of the south. Mia picked out a book at Barnes and Noble about the fair that we had been reading for two weeks....that little girl was totally pumped about going....every dream was fulfilled...from the giant steers to the fun rides, ferris wheel and all and of course the food....$5 funnel cakes BETTER be good! Aunt Christi and all the cousins joined us as did Big Uncle Andrew and his girlfriend Leah.....made everything sweeter to have the cousins and aunt and uncle with us! And Nykolas was in Leah's arms and kissing her by nights end....watch out Andrew!

Nykolas has learned to 'tip' a hat and say "Hello, Nice to meet you." (Where he picked this up I have no idea) Anyway, he was 'tipping' his fireman's hat to Mia today saying "Hello Lady, nice to meet you." and Mia fires (no pun intended) back with " I not a lady, I, Mia Joy!"

(For the Burtons among you....at least she left out the "ain't")

YES, those are big girl panties....in spite of fevers and such, Mia is using the potty these days....most of the time. She did have jeans on earlier in the day (I don't usually let my children run around in their undies) but somehow they got lost in the shuffle......

enjoying the cooler weather.....

Sandbox Karaoke....

For those who don't catch it all that little diddy is a mixture of "Mickey Mouse", "London Bridge (all fall down)" and Mia's own desire....I want to be a puppy....

This little one still isn't sitting without wobbling over but that hasn't stopped her from thinking she can climb everything! It makes for a few bumps and bruises.

Our first baby is getting a little grey around the edges....but still cute. She doesn't particularly like the siblings that followed....but puts up with them...especially if they taste good when licked!

To our adoring public....sorry it has been so long. Mia was the first on the 'get sick' list (which includes fever, sore throats, running/stuffy noses. YUCK!) now I am under the weather and so is Lilija....and poor Nykolas is running up close behind us. Unfortunately, we have also shared our grunge with my mom. I asked her if she was so glad we stayed here in the States with her to "help"!?

Well, we have been anticipating it for days....the Great Cowboy Birthday. It finally arrived and it was worth the wait. To celebrate our cousin's, Ethan and Emilie's birthday we had games, amazing cakes ( thanks to our Aunt Christi), hay rides, hats, water gun attacks on Uncle Andrew and best of all our cousins and uncles! We played until we dropped and went to sleep with smiles in our hearts....

Nykolas' First Day of Pre-school here in the US!

Not sure whether Mia was most upset because she missed Nykolas or that she wasn't going to school.....

On his way in.....nary a tear shed....

Mia (heart) horses.....

I found this little t-shirt online for Mia. She is absolutely in love with horses...the fact that my parents have two living practically on their property helps egg on the obsession but I

wish you could have seen her enraptured smile when I pulled it out of the box (with socks to match)...you would have thought I had handed her the moon on a string.
